Get answers to common questions about Dermal Filler Dissolver.
Hylenex is an enzyme that enzymatically breaks down hyaluronic acid filler molecules, allowing them to disperse and be absorbed. Results often begin within 24–48 hours, with continued improvement over several days. Multiple treatments may be required depending on filler amount and location.
When administered by trained clinicians, Hylenex is generally safe. Common temporary side effects include swelling, redness, bruising, and tenderness. Allergic reactions are rare; we screen history and may perform a test if indicated.
The number of sessions depends on filler volume, location, and how long the filler has been in place. Many clients see improvement after one session, while others may need two to three treatments spaced weeks apart for complete correction.
Hyaluronidase targets hyaluronic acid and primarily breaks down filler material. Any effect on native hyaluronic acid is temporary; long-term collagen structure is typically preserved. Your clinician will use conservative dosing to protect natural tissue.
Initial results frequently appear within 24–48 hours, with continued improvement over several days. Swelling can temporarily obscure changes, so a follow-up visit is scheduled to assess outcomes and determine if additional treatment is needed.
Pricing starts at $450 for one vial of Hylenex. Additional vials used in the same session are $300 each. Your consultation will estimate how many vials may be needed based on the areas treated and prior filler volume.
